Award-winning miniMOORE Signal Conditioners Approved by ULminiMOORE Signal Conditionaer Approved by UL

The 2-channel MIT and the 2- and 4-channel MIX award-winning miniMOORETM products now meet UL 508 criteria--the UL safety standard for industrial control equipment.  The miniMOORE Signal Conditioners have received UL® (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) approval under NMTR.E159337 for power-circuit and motor-mounted apparatuses.

This is important because the miniMOORE products are now approved to be mounted in UL 508 cabinets for use in ordinary locations, and in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.

UL 508, the safety standard for industrial control equipment, covers requirements for: devices rated 1500 volts or less; products intended for use in an ambient temperature of 0-40°C (32-104ºF); and industrial control panels that are assemblies of industrial control devices and other devices associated with control of motor operated and the related industrial equipment.

UL has long-standing expertise in product safety testing and certification for industrial equipment products in accordance with the North American and IEC/EN standards.

IPX2: A Proven and Certified I/P Solution for Natural Gas

Moore Industries has developed and certified the IPX2 Current-to-Pressure transmitter specifically for use in natural gas applications.  The IPX2 is a CSA, FM and KEMA (ATEX) approved I/P transmitter that prevents dangerous conditions in hazardous natural gas applications.

The IPX2 solution was designed to accept natural gas as its pneumatic supply.

The threat is that off-the-shelf I/P transmitters are not approved, designed or intended to use natural gas as their pneumatic supply. While they are often called upon to perform this duty, they are dangerous because inappropriate seals on their electrical conduit wiring fitting can permit natural gas to migrate into the conduit, leak into the atmosphere, or leak into non-hazardous areas where the presence of gas could cause a potential fire or explosion hazard.

For more information on the IPX2, please click HERE to download the whitepaper from the Moore Industries website.
