Watch the WORM Flexible Temperature Sensor Technology Demo

the WORM Flexible Temperature SensorMoore Industries has released a digital video production, the "Temperature Sensor Technology Demo Featuring Peter Welander and Moore Industries WORM."  This WORM technology demo features a product demonstration, competitive analysis and installation instructions for the WORM, a unique flexible temperature sensor.

WORM advantages highlighted in the video include the smaller diameter and faster response time, as well as the WORM's ability to be cut to any length, eliminating the need to stock or order exact sizes since the sensor is "one size fits all."

"Temperature Sensor Technology Demo Featuring Peter Welander and Moore Industries WORM," is available free through the Moore Industries corporate website at www.miinet.com/theworm.

Additionally, you can visit the Moore Industries YouTube channel to check out the video at: http://www.youtube.com/user/MooreIndustries.

Moore Industries Presents Low Power Solutions for Oil and Natural Gas

Low Power Solutions for Oil and Natural GasMoore Industries has created an overview displaying a variety of instrumentation solutions for oil and natural gas well head applications, often requiring low-power applications.

The paper, Automation and Instrument Solutions for Oil and Natural Gas Well Head Applications, depicts comprehensive low-power solutions for:
  • Monitoring temperature, pressure and flow conditions at oil and natural gas well sites.
  • Gas extraction, processing, storage and transport.
  • Tank and pipeline cathodic protection.

Q & A:   What do a 4-20mA signal, an Ethernet connection and MODBUS have in common?  The NCS!

NCS NET Concentrator SystemQ:   I need a device that takes in a 4-20mA signal and can provide the data over an Ethernet connection using MODBUS.  Hopefully it would have 8 or 16 channels of input. The NCS.

A:    Our NCS NET Concentrator System® Ethernet Interface Module (EIM) communicates over Ethernet using the MODBUS TCP protocol.  Up to 16 I/O modules can be plugged together with the EIM.  Each Analog Input Module (AIM) has four input channels.

The MODBUS Interface Module (MIM) can be used in place of the EIM in order to communicate with MODBUS RTU protocol over RS-485.
