UPM-Kymmene Papier Werk Augsburg (previously Haindl Papier Werk Augsburg), is part of UPM, one of the world's leading producers of printing papers. The company's businesses focus on magazine papers, newsprint, fine and specialty papers, converting materials and wood products. The Augsburg plant, situated in southern Germany, produces uncoated and coated magazine paper on approximately 50% waste paper basis.

Scanpump has delivered about 200 process pumps of type BA, NB and FB, including the PSI and PMI concept, for stock preparation and for the mill's new paper machine (PM3) that was launched in 2000. Part of the delivery included pumps with master seal. Furthermore Scanpump delivered 37 side mounted Scanpump Scaba agitators.
