ZPR Rosenthal
The pulp mill Rosenthal GmbH & Co. KG (ZPR) is one of the most modern kraft pulp mills in Europe. The plant is situated next to Germany’s largest artificial lake. This, as well as the vulnerable position on the verge of a nature park, makes environmental protection a priority.

Scanpump has, among other things, delivered submersible aerator mixers to the mill’s wastewater treatment plant in order to contribute to keeping their discharge values low.
The mill uses kraft pulp on basis of spruce sawmill chips and pulpwood. In 1999 Scanpump delivered process pumps of type BA, NB and FB with PSI and PMI concept to be used at various areas in the whole pulp process. Also a number of PN 25 pumps were delivered.
In the scope of this delivery Scanpump also overhauled a large amount of previously installed pumps, in order to optimise their efficiency. In total the mill has about 300 pumps installed, from Scanpump.
"Being able to both supply new equipment and overhaul already installed pumps made Scanpump the preferred partner in this project," says Harald Maiberger, Area Sales Manager, Scanpump.
