Using the most modern electronic technology and manufacturing processes, Brüel & Kjær Vibro's new generation rack-based safety monitoring system - VIBROCONTROL 6000® - provides safe, reliable and high-quality solutions for protecting people, environments and machinery.

The Compass 6000 adds predictive monitoring functions to the VIBROCONTROL 6000® safety system and thus continues to meet our customer's demand for integrated, reliable safety and predictive monitoring solutions.

The Compass 6000 platform is complete when compatible solutions also integrate old technology with new;  naturally COMPASS Classic is able to operate in parallel with Compass 6000, integrated through a modern "dot.net" based MS-Windows® user interface.

VDAU-6000 Condition Monitoring and Analysis System

Brüel & Kjær Vibro introduces a unique condition monitoring concept that offers offers high channel density with early fault detection capability.  This powerful system is easy to install with very little setup.  Narrow-band monitoring provides accurate, early fault detection and identification for many types of machines.    The 16-channel VDAU-6000 field monitors (with ATEX certification) can be installed directly on-site at the machine for condition monitoring of auxiliary or isolated machines or connected directly to the buffered outputs of an existing safety system to add condition monitoring capability to all types of machines.  VDAU-6000 uses the same monitoring software and database as our Compass 6000 system.  Options include event analysis of time signals.

Our handheld instruments, and their software programmes, can be generally divided into two categories:

  • Data-collector instruments with analysing capabilities, for intermittent data acquisition in a predictive maintenance program, and
  • Analysing and balancing instruments, for on-site analysis and on-site balancing.Our range of instruments provides a complete solution for an application where intermittent off-line data acquisition can provide adequate protection against machine failure, and an  instrument is required for balancing and analysis.

VIBROPORT 80 is the newest generation of Brüel & Kjær Vibro’s portable measuring instruments.  Ease of operation, versatility, modular setup and flexibility in demanding applications were the important design criteria in developing this particular instrument.  Additionally, VIBROPORT 80 has been made even more powerful than its predecessors by including a wide assortment of new analysis functions.  These make VIBROPORT 80 the ideal portable vibration instrument for helping deliver machine uptime to your plant.


xms - eXtended Monitoring Software

The xms® PC software package represents the central component of a system for condition monitoring and condition diagnosis within the framework of predictive maintenance for machines and plant.

Vibration data and process values from machines or plant can be acquired continuously or at regular intervals and unloaded to the xms® software. According to how critical a machine is for production, either a permanently-installed on-line system like VIBROCONTROL 6000  Compact monitor or a VIBROTEST® 60 portable data-collector is used for this purpose.

  • Graphic management of user-interface 
  • Machines requiring attention are directly highlighted in the database organizer after the unload
  • The source of the alarm at the selected machines is revealed

Non-contacting displacement sensors

In many monitoring applications non-contacting eddy current displacement sensor (ECDS) systems are the preferred sensor choice for a wide range of monitoring tasks.  They are typically used for measurement of relative shaft vibration and displacement, as well as for use as reference sensors.  Our ECDS systems can be divided into the following groups:

Discrete eddy current displacement sensor systems consist of:
  • The sensor probe with a certain length of integral cable
  • A electrically tuned connection cable to complete the nominal system length
  • A driver (oscillator/demodulator) containing the remaining electronics of the sensor system and which represents the interface to the succeeding monitoring system
ECDS systems with a discrete design are listed together with their respective connection cables (EC) and drivers (OD). 

Eddy current displacement sensors with integrated design have a built-in driver electronic within their probe housing including all components of the tuned oscillating circuit.
Therefore no separate oscillator/demodulator and calibrated connection cable is required.

Preamplifiers

Charge amplifiers 2661, 2667 and 2688

Our charge amplifiers are intended for use with charge type accelerometers, when monitoring plant machinery in harsh environments and for industrial machine and gas turbine applications requiring long mean time between failures.

The charge amplifiers are available in a number of versions when other amplification factors or filtering ranges are required.

Please check the appropriate Data Sheet for available variants.

There are three differnet main designes available:

Charge amplifier 2661
This standard amplifier is used if there are no additional certficates required.

Charge amplifier 2667
This amplifier is ATEX certified for use in Zone 3 applications
 
Charge amplifier 2688
This amplifier is especially desigend for use in radioactive areas.

To protect the charge amplifiers from harsh environmental conditions, such as humidity and vibration, they should be mounted in a suitable junction box in conformity with minimum IP 65, as available from Brüel & Kjær Vibro.
