Hydramotion Viscometers

Established in 1986, Hydramotion rapidly rose to become world leader in process and portable viscosity measurement.
The Hydramotion Viscometers have no moving parts, seals or bearings that can wear out or fail in service.
Hydramotion instruments are built on patented technology. All are designed and manufactured at their labs and production facilities near York, England.
The XL-7 in-line viscometer can be installed directly into any process line. Intrinsically safe, high temperature, high pressure, and hygienic models completer the biggest range of viscometers for any fluid in any application.

The Viscolite is a fast, accurate, robust and truly portable viscometer. Measurements are shown instantly on a digital display. The lightweight readout unit and probe combined with long battery life make the Viscolite hand-held viscometer well suited to long duty in the factory, laboratory or on the move.

The ReactaVisc is a research-grade device for the continuous real-time measurement of viscosity in reaction vessels. The narrow-bodied enclosure takes up minimal space at the top of the vessel, leaving plenty of room for other equipment such as stirrers or condensers.
The standard viscometer can often be fitted to a laboratory-scale vessel without requiring special support. The movable gland adaptor enables the immersion depth to be varied at will.
The accompanying display unit provides analogue and digital outputs for data logging or remote monitoring. If hooked up to a suitable temperature sensor, temperature-corrected viscosity can also be calculated.
Typical applications include viscosity monitoring during polymerisation or esterification reactions, for example in a research project or as part of a small-scale production facility.
